If dogs have systemic yeast/demodex caused from chronic immune disregulation, wouldn’t rice being a starch flare yeast?

my pup is 3 years old now .
He’s been on diamond natural skin and coat since he was a baby and we were living in another city at the time.
I noticed when I moved back to my home city, after about a year he developed really bad allergies and had been on the same food for this entire time. I’ve added supplements like the native daily, coconut oil and keifer to his food, but is still consistent with inflammation and ear infections- is it possible he’s developed an allergy to the diamond naturals?
My dog keeps scratching the same 3 spots. He has a red ear. I tried ear drops. But they don’t seem to work. He keeps scratching himself & cutting the spots open repeatedly. I just lost my job and don’t really have money for a vet. What can I do to help him? If I do have to change his food would it still be ok to give him treats?
