I just got a rescue. She’s seven years old a little mama, but she races out the door. This is where I’m really trying to get it right
My puppy doesn’t care for treats. I’ve tried several brands, flavors and types. She doesn’t want any of them. Also, she’s a miniature and weighs, 2.6 lbs. So many of these are difficult. She can pull a house leash around, but its so heavy that it drags under her body and gets on the way of everything.
Seems like it would have been a good time to start teaching a “stay” word.
I have been doing this with my puppy but I also read that treats should only make up 10% of his daily food. I feel like training takes soooooo much more than that. He doesn’t really like his normal food enough to work for it (I’m actually planning to switch to something new).
